Has anyone had any problems with this very invasive plant? We had to take up a stone pathway to get to the roots that invaded everywhere. This plant even killed a quince bush. The nursery that sold us this plant has had numerous complaints. The only thing we could do, he said, is to kill it with roundup. But the conditions this rainy summer have not let us do that. Instead, we constantly dig through the garden to find and remove the thick, white roots that grow so fast. Even pieces of the root thrown onto the driveway leaf out in a couple of hours! This feels like one of those sci=fi movies where the plant says, "feed me".
