I refer to Han Yu's poem 春雪.
新年都未有芳华,
二月初惊见草芽。
白雪却嫌春色晚,
故穿庭树作飞花。
A fellow enthusiast and I are disagreed about the meaning of this poem. I think that Snow is complaining about the late arrival of spring, with its fragrant flowers, and has decided to compensate for this by adorning the courtyard trees with a covering of its own white form of beauty.
If there are alternative interpretations, or I've missed something, I would be interested to hear from others.
