Cousmi,

Springbrook is a Queensland National park and as such is free to enter. I throughly recommend it for a day trip as there are lots of beautiful walks, waterfalls and lookouts. You can get buses from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, however I recommend that if you are travelling with other people, you hire a car for the day with a GPS navigator. Start first thing in the morning and make a full day of it. The walks are short ( less than 1KM) or long ( up to 17 KM) so take your pick.

Also for another great day out, I would recommend Orielly's at Lamington National park which is also on the back of the Gold Coast. One walk is about 20Km return to the Qld/NSW border, with great lookouts over NSW. This is also free and within 2 hours drive of Brisbane

Hope this assists.

Regards

Brett
