Had a 1997 840 ci great car no problems what so ever. Had to sell it. I am now 57 so I is not going to be a hot rod.

Looking at a 1991 850i 24,000 mile one owner. Everything I seem to read scared me about maintenance issues and costs. The car has complete docs, absolutely perfect in appearance, part of large collection. It is an auto transmission.

Do I stay away as I do not have deep pockets price is 25,000. Any thing to look for? Thanks for your advice.

What was the best year and engine for the 8 series as far as low maintenance?
