Great Grandpa, a Katy lineman (I think) died b/n 1902-1914 by Katy train running over him. He thought he saw something on the tracks, put on the brakes, and got off and went down the track to check it out. Somehow the brakes slipped and the train started up, running him over, cutting off both legs. He died two days later.

Have been trying to find any reference to this. Has been hard since I don't know the exact date or location. But thought I would throw it out to see if maybe someone would know.

His name was Walter Fleming Maxwell, and he was in his 20's.
