This is very unfortunate, but not surprising. Politicans will only fight for industries that have lobbies in Washington.
Pampered, wealthy politicians like Durban don't realize that pawn shops provide access to financial resources for people experiencing tough times.

Obviously this did not happen. Logic dictates that a pawn shop is the lesser of two evils. A pawn show will charge you up to 25% interest and you risk loosing your possession. A loan shark charges what they want and you run the risk of loosing your life. So this will never happen.
