The lack of interest in this subject is perhaps symptomatic of the age old problem of never learning from the past. Surely , there is a road map of the future provided by looking at the past, and this fact is super endowed where the two great countries of Japan and Germany are concerned! It is simply fact that the Japanese and the Germans are by nature are "super productive", very nationalistic, despite claims to the contrary, and most importantly, they are ultra aggressive when it comes to national interests! History tells us that every 20 to 30 years for the last 150 years one or both of these two nations have been involved in aggressive acts of war! Now that we have navigated 65 years without a world war, it might be beneficial to analyze the reasons and circumstances that have temporarily altered the cycle of aggression. Without analyzing and discussing each possible reason, I'll just outline my thoughts and reasoning; 1.The destruction was so great it took longer to recover 2. The "Marshall Plan"type of massive aid from the US 3. The need for American protection from Russia and China 4 The unwaivering supply of American oil to Japan 5. Germany can effectively dominate western Europe through the EU by hard work and economic dominance
