Although Newtonian mechanics is known for more than 300 years, the problems in learning it are known for more than 35 years and are global as well. This is the main cause, I think, behind celebrating year 2005 as the IYP and 2009 as the IYA. Therefore for attracting young talented students to Physics and Astronomy, we have to restudy the basic "O" level Physics, particularly, Mechanics from the point of view of learning.
