Hello Birkenhead folks, my great grandfather and family, the Shanassy's lived in Birkenhead in the 1800's. In the 1881 census they lived at 31 Russel street. 1871 LOWER wOOD STREET. I notice when using Google Earth, that there has been some changes to these streets, for example 31 Russel seems to be gone, also maybe Lower Woods?
Anyone have any info. on this.
Also wondering if there are any Shanassy's as of yet in Birkenhead? Could have changed it back to Shaughnessy?
