Bone fracture

Found a dog last night. It was abandoned and evidentely hit by a car which broke both its hind legs. Took it to the vet and had it X rayed. Turns out the bones healed but in an unnatural state. Meaning: one leg healed twisted and the other healed curved...like a V shape. Needless to say he cant walk on them. He just uses his front legs to walk and both his hind legs are always up against his belly. The Vet says its a hopless case and that surgery would take a long time and its would be costly. And whats worst is that it might never be %100 natural again. Now im wondering what my options are. Do you guys know of any case like this. WHat do you do when bones heal this way? Thanks a mill for any help!

Honestly if it's worth his life the surgery would be it's best option. If it's hurting too much and you can't afford the surgery you could hand it over to the ASAPCA and they would pay for it themselves. He'd have a better chance if you did it that way.
