10 mm Auto

First let me give some history...years ago I had begun purchasing supplies in hopes to start reloading for my 10mm but for one reason or another this got put on the back burner. Recently I've resumed my quest of reloading for the 10mm and now have all the neccesary components to begin doing so. One of the components originally purchased was a 500 rnd box of once fired brass which, up until now, the most I've ever done with them was run my eager fingers through the pile of brass dreaming about the day I could turn these empty cases into live rounds for my plinking pleasure...Well anyway here I am years later ready to start reloading when... I start measuring case lengths only to find that they are all shorter than the trim to length of .989 listed in my reloading data manuals. All of my cases are .987 and less. My question is...are these cases still ok to reload and are the "trim to" lengths listed in the manuals an absolute minimum case length? Thanks, Darryl
