Imagine my delight knowing that my ancestors, long gone and forgotten are as it appears, related to the Etruscans, that mysterious pre Roman civilisation. Added to that is the fact we can say that along with Basque, Finnish, Hungarian and Etruscan Europe has another non Indo-European language. Having studied archaeology at University, this has only quite recently been discovered by me. I always did love the Aegean bronze age and it turns out with good reason!I am Australian or rather Greek-Australian of Limnian parentage. Lemnian: Hulaiez na futh ziazi.
Albanian: Heleni na fut zine.
English: Hellen put the mourning to us.

Lemnian: Maraz mav.
Albanian: Maraz i madh.

I was equally surprised to read about the fact that Etruscans
appear to have populated Limnos.

My mother, Titika Aspasia Tratarou, was born and brought up on
Limnos.

Although I do not claim to be an expert on the subject, I take
a great deal of interest in the origins of the Balkan peoples.
However, until yesterday, I had no idea about the Etruscan connection
with the island.

I would be very pleased if you would share any more info you
