It seems we are very close to alien life, but due to our technology restriction we are not able to find this.

If we look even in our solar system, we will find 5 Bets for Extraterrestrial Life in the our Solar System only. It looks like we are living in a house which have 6 rooms, but we are not able to open those room. Those rooms are Earth, Enceladus, Europa, Mars, Titan, Io. Its like we know only about our room. We don't know what we can get in others room. May be the life on these places are in the form of microbes only. But the question is when the life have so much probability in this very small distance. How much it can be common in our universe. There are possibly 80 billion galaxies in the universe & billions of tars in every galaxy.
I think life is so common in our Universe.

I agree, however i dont think there are many races that are more advanced then us. Like stargate wise seems more duable then starwars wise. (if you take away all those different human races in stargate xP)
After all it takes quite a while to get to where we are and probably alot longer to even master interstellar travel. and chances that a race is killed off before that time arrives is quite big in my opinion.
