Hi I was wondering if u could help me,
I visited Giza a couple if years ago on a tour and was able to go inside one if the great pyramids, (I sure it wasn't kahfre's or khufu's - apologies if spelt wrong) I think it was menkaura's as the only entrance was at ground level,
After the Long small small decent down to the centre if the pyramid, then the uphill climb to the burial chamber at the back, it was rectangle in shape, and in black paint up on the wall there was a name of a previous explorer (something in my gut is saying he was french but a may be wrong)
Just wanting to know if you know the name of the explorer
The date was the 1800's
Thanks for your time
Chris
