Proof that 2 = 1

Let, a = b + c
2a = a + b + c
2a - 2b = a - b + c
2a - 2b - 2c = a - b - c
2(a - b - c) = 1(a - b - c)
2 = 1

A novel, but convoluted way, of performing this stunt - i.e. obtaining a spurious result by including the "illegal" operation of dividing by zero (a-b-c). However, my limited mathematical brain believes the experts in string theory. I have never seen any argument to discredit the theory on the grounds of using illegal (illogical) operations. That is, I believe that it is mathematically rigorous and valid.
However, I can subscribe to the idea that the limit of x/a, as "a" approaches zero is infinity, a completely, utterly, frustratingly incomprehensible result. I put string theory, and certainly quantum physics, in the same basket. My mind can't cope with the concept, but the reality is there in the maths.
I gain some consolation that the great Richard Feynman confessed ". . . .I don't understand it (QED)but nobody does".
So if the maths works then it comes down to "if you don't understand it, just accept it".

SORRY I AM NOT AS SMART AS YOU BUT
1. A=B+C I AGREE
2. 2A = A+B+C
IF YOU MULTIPLY Ax2 =2A
IF YOU MULTIPLY SIDE 1 OF EQATION THEN YOU MULTIPLY SIDE 2 BY THE SAME # 2= 2A= B+C X(2)= 2B + 2C
I MAY BE WRONG SO BE PATIENT AN EDUCATE ME IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE CONDESCENDING DO NOT BOTHER THANKS

If a = b + c, then a-b-c = zero
Dividing by zero is a meaningless,illegal operation.
