I love ALL of Robert Redford's movies, but I really think Downhill Racer never gets the play that it deserves. Are there any of you out there that remember this movie? What did you think about it?

One of my favorites, not only of his movies, but of movies in general. He showed well as an athlete - and the movie also captured well the rather brutal background and attitude of some who are driven to succeed in sports. And the ski ambience is just plain fun to watch! I re-watch it every few years.

Hackman's character, needing a boost for the team: "Tell him to uncork one." And he did, he did. You gotta see it.
