Does the sonic boom occur at the moment passes thru from subsonic to super sonic? Or does the sonic boom sound follow the aircraft all the way to the point when it goes subsonic? I had someones say the boom follows the aircraft all the way from the time it goes super sonic to the time of going subsonic. I could not answer the question, even after reading information about sonic boom.
