Does anyone remember the Gonkel-Twerp, a dark fuzzy critter shaped like a beehive that was introduced at the end of one episode, accompanied by scary music? I woke up screaming that night and the next day the Gonkel-Twerp was gone-- the result of hundreds of calls to NBC by parents.

My sister and I were beginning to think gonkeltwerps were a shared imagination! We have never run into anyone who has remembered them. We do remember them a little differently, there were two of them, they looked kind of like mop heads and they were on the ceiling, wiggling and when you were under one, one would make you laugh and the other would make you cry. We remembered them on more then one episode but not very many. I too, had nightmares about them!
