Does anyone know how I can make mahogany darker without just using stain. I could stain it but I'm using it in boat biulding ( stain color would be lost with final planing) and need a "dark" outline look. This mahogany I have is quite light and even when wetted apperas to have a golden color. Was thinking it might be like cherry and change with direct sun light?
