My doctor has prescribed Pramipexole for my bipolar II condition; my bipolar II-ism is mainly severe depression with some swings up into "normal," whatever that might be. ;-)

My doc started me on a very small amount of Pramipexole, and he's increasing the dosage by 0.5 mg every week. I'm currently at 2.0 mg daily, taken about a half-hour before going to sleep.

Has anyone had a good result from Pramipexole? So far, I'm feeling as depressed as usual.

Note: I'd been on Effexor XR for many years, and once it stopped working, my doc slowly took me off it. I've been totally off Effexor XR for about three weeks now, after having gone through a miserable drug withdrawal. Maybe some Effexor's still floating around in my system?
