I am working as a carer for an agency and I am sent out to peoples homes, my current shifts has been with a abi and disabled client. Her husband sacked me today because of my hearing impairment as I was told by a colleague. He told her he was sick of having to repeat himself.

He told the agent that it was a personality clash. The agency told me not to worry about it. But I do as this sort of thing has been happening alot.

I was working in a Nursing Home and as as I told them I was deaf they put me off because they thought I would not hear the clients. I wear hearing aids, one at the momemt and getting another one which will be two to wear at the one time.

My colleague also discriminates by saying you cannot do that because of your hearing aide.

Please tell me what I should do infuture, these people need educating.
