Einstein had no belief in a personal god, he thought the idea in Judeo-Christian scriptures somewhat childish, and expressed his desire to see humanity grow up, in other words, to grow out of this belief much like one grows out of belief in Santa Clause. He does a times use the term god but explained himself that his meaning is of the nature of the order found in the universe. His god was more in the nature of Spinoza's god, god as substance immortal, god as the totality of all there is, the spirtual experience is then one of awe and wonder.
