Could you please give me suggestion with ether mixture explosion accident by follow.
I collect the ether mixture waste that consist of ether : Ethanol (ratio 1:1) + KOH (titrant) + fat ( analyst sample) and store in empty glass bottle of Hexane (48 days storage) close screw cap and place in fume hood when working. In the same hood we put the breaker containing acid mixture (HCl+HNO3+H2O). The bottle of waste ether mixture have explosion accident . We suspect that it form ether peroxide which react with acid fume.
