Rev. John Mayor was my great X 3 grandfather - his son William Henry Mayor lived in Bermuda, his youngest daughter, Elizabeth Porter Mayor lived in Detroit and Denver, was my great-grandmother. Why was this topic established?

I am surprised to see this on a discussion forum. I sent this comment in regards to an incorrect Wikipedia article quite some time ago.
I guess we are distant cousins. Rev John Mayor was also an ancestor of mine. I am descended from his second son Thomas Mayor.
