In attempting to pass a law to stop circumsizing young boys, by Lloyd Schofied and Matthew Hess, and others of their same ilk, does not mean they maybe anti-semtic, its only that Schofied and Hess believe that G-d made a mistake in choosing a Jewish woman by the name of Mary, to be the mother of the boy Jesus.

One can ask, how come a Roman mother (Italian)was not choosen. Everyone knows that they are fabulous mothers, as are all mothers everywhere. So the only reason G-d could have had in choosing a Jewish girl, raised as a Jew, and would have adhered to all of the traditions, and especially the Jews Covenant with G-d, would have been that G-d knew that the girl Mary would have seen that her Son, Jesus Christ was circumsized.

So the only reason that Schofied and Hess have in wanting to stop the circumsizing of boys, is to harm the Christian Church by showing that G-d made a mistake in choosing a Jewish girl to give birth to his Son, Jesus Christ.

Of course, God did not make a mistake.

For whatever false cause that Lloyd Schofied and Matthew Hess are doing in outlawing circumcision: the christian church should not be harmed at all because no believer should be seeking to be identified as His by circumcision but by the faith in the Son of God: Jesus Christ.

If any believer in Jesus Christ that has not been circumcised yet: they shouldn't be seeking it. Period.

One should read the book of Galatians to confirm that.

IMHO, God should have chosen a Greek mother for His son to be born from, because in Judaism there is no such a thing as a demigod, which is a child born of a god with an earthly
woman. That's the reason why even books have been written about numerous young women being raped in the Land of Israel
during Roman occcupation. Josephus reports the birth of thousands of Jewish children as a result of these rapes. Since the unfortunating mothers could not be blamed for promiscuity, the Jewish authorities would forbid to ostracize them or name-call the children mamzerim. It was conventionalized to call them sons or daughters of God. But the boys were circumcised for being Jewish, because of the mothers.

You are right to say that it has nothing to do with Christianity because circumcision was not a Christian commandment. In fact, it was part of Paul's gospel to preach against circumcision even among Jewish parents throughout the Diaspora. (Acts 21:21)
