When I read chapter three, I really started to like the character David. He works around his house instead of going out much, and appreciates his mother a lot.

I really like David too . I mean everyone thinks his life his perfect since he is senior class president and all. I don't think everyone realizes that he actually works very hard and has a lot of responsibilities for a teenage boy.

I agree. I think that David does a lot of good deeds around his house, like caring for his grandmother. The only thing I don't like about David is the fact that he is pretending to have feelings for Susan and that she will more than likely get hurt by him in the end. I hope, by some miracle, that David will actually start to like Susan by the end of the book.

David has too much respect for his mom and his grandmother. But seems like a good person.

Too much respect? That is an interesting observation. Can you explain what you mean?

David is a really nice person. He takes care of his grandma and sacrifices time with his friends to be home. His mom is a real workaholic and doesn't like him going anywhere, so he hardly ever goes out
