I haven't read much but i think that Susan will probably do anything to have David and his friends like her? So far, i think this will be a great book.
I also think that whatever reason they kill him for isn't good enough reason to end someone's life.

The students are bloodthirsty. Creepy... I dont understand, they argue over whether or not they should kill him, when the student who brought it up is arguing for him, and the student who first defended him wants to kill him. Weird, right?

Susan seems like a troubled youth. Her siblings are really mean to her and her parents kinda put down her dreams. She likes David, but he's "popular," so he would never go out with her. She does get lucky when he looses his papers and he walks with her into the school

Have you noticed Susan seems to say someday a lot? That seems a little wierd to me. Maybe her family doesn't have much so she is telling us her plans to be somebody and have something one day. Or maybe it is foreshadowing that something is going to happen we just dont know it yet.

Yes. I think by the end of the story David might just end up liking her. I hope so anyway, that would be something good to happen.

Why does Mr.Griffin not take late homework?
Why does that one girl keep saying someday because it's very annoying.

I agree. So far, this book has pretty great descriptions of the characters, especially Mark. From what I've read, Susan would do anything for David to like her. I can't wait to read some more. Hating a teacher is a pretty stupid reason to kill someone

Or maybe he'll kill her because she knows too much and could be a threat to him David that is.

It's pretty dumb that Mr. Griffin doesn't take late homework. I would HATE that. Susan saying someday all the time does get pretty annoying.

Your right i bet they all get into a fight and someone spills the beans about the murder.

He's just real stirict and thinks education should come first so he doesn't accept their excuses.
And i guess it's because she don't like her life all that much and focus's on the future nad what she will have 'someday.' But i agree, it's kind of annoying.

Mr. Griffin needs to get his panties out of a wad and relax.

Wow Alanna! Such great close reading. Always pay attention to details like this, as they most certainly lead to later events. This is a really good reading habit!!

Why didnt davy say that he had the assginment and that susan stepped on it on accident? Mr. Griffin might let him off if they convinced him that he had that day

Mark, Jeff, and Betsy seem like more of the popular "think they're better than everyone else" kind of kids. I bet they'll go down first if anyone spills about their plan.

Is it just me or does Susan seem to say "someday" a lot? I mean, maybe she is eager to get out of there, but once she's left home, she might regret saying that.

I have no opinion on the book right now. It's not like super duper boring but it doesnt seem that great.

Not really, remember David said that he had had it done, but that the wind had blew it out of his hands that morning on the way to school. I don't think that it would have changed anything.

Huh. I'm kinda thinking that you are a popular person, aren't you? I don't think that she gets lucky at all. I think that in meeting him that morning, she just (not on purpose) dug herself a deeper hole. And actually, plenty of people I know (which in your eyes are probably losers and/ or freaks) date lots of people from your "group". And, judging by the way you said that, I am right about assumption that "losers" are MUCH nicer than you people. WE would never say the stuff that some of the people I know that "role" with you "populars" say to me and my friends, behind our backs or in our face. It really doesn't matter.

I don't know, I just don't think that she can love someone who was involved in murder. She doesnt seem like that kinda of person, Alanna ( I hope I guessed right, its knid of fun to see whose name I can get right...p.s. sorry if I spelled it wrong)

Boo. I agree about her parents and her siblings, but the lucky David part, I still stand by my earlier reply.

Well, if people would do their homework and turn it in on time, then that wouldn't be a problem. I think that this whole book could have been avoided if Jeff and people had just done their homework. It wasn't much. And I think that Mr. Griffin is just trying to teach his students responsiblity and the value of learning. I have to say though, there are a couple of subjects that I find unnessacary and I would love to bypass.

This isn't until he third chapter, but I'm wondering why Dave's mother took her lieing leaving husband's mother into her home. I can understand it if they had a really close relationship or if her son and the mother-in-law did, but any other reason? I think not, the son should have to take care of her.
