Can anybody provide a citation as to when the United States abolished the utilization of scrip (paper or metal)? People, arbitrarily and capriously cite the 1950's as a time period when the Federal Government purportedly took some kind of action either eliminating or prohibiting the use of scrip. Please enlighten me. Thanks!
