Can a house be lifted to put a new foundation in? This house has 3 sections of renovated parts. Section 1 this part the foundation is made of layered stones, section 2 has a poured concrete floor with cinderblocks for a foundation and section 3 has a cinderblocks for a foundation but dirt floor. We want a new foundation but my uncles tell me the house has too many added sections that it can't be lifed. the house is 35x45 with a wrap around porch and has an upstairs. Part of the house was built in 1920's then my parents added on in 1970 and the last part was added on in 1978. Can we save the house or do we rebuild?
