TransLink should change the name of Coast Mountain Bus Company to something the better represent the name of a major North American transit (bus) system. Just look to other major transit systems and they have quickly identifiable names and logos.

Everybody knows TransLink but who the hell know CMBC? I think the reason TransLink choose the name was to keep the bus system out of sight with a name no one would no. Do you see any kind of Coast Mountain Bus Company logo on the side of a TransLink bus? Nope! You barely even see the TransLink logo stuck at the back of the bus behind the rear wheel.

Now that the Greater Vancouver Regional Authority has been changed to Metro Vancouver, why not call the bus system "Metro Transit." A name that far better describes the area in which TransLink buses operate than Coast Mountain Bus Company. How far up the coast? Which mountains? A non desrcript name that was stupid from the start. TransLink just wants their name to be known and not some company that operates buses for them. Bring back BC Transit which stood for something.
