I never much liked the ways and manners of Muslims. So instead of just bitching I decided to read the Koran, initially written in Arabic, in its entirety. 114 chapters and over 1,000 verses.
Interesting, because the wearing of the veil is mentioned in a few verses but not a single word is said about the burka and nikab. As far as I'm concerned these disguises are nothing more than a male invention to dominate women.
As a matter of fact when you go through the Koran various verses intimate that women must be or are:
- submissive
- compliant
- dependent
- without rights
- a sexual object including polygamy
- that can be beaten at will
- who’s behavior can be dictated by the most imbecile Koran interpretations of males.
So much for that.
