I have several buffalobur plants growing in my yard and was curious if anyone knew a source of information on this species unusual anther morphology. (One anther out of (of course) five is purple and beak-shaped.) I read that Darwin mentioned this or similar ssp. in some of his writings but am having no luck. Anything would be appreciated/interesting.
