Third Battle of the Aisne
British prisoners from the battle

Does anybody know what happened to the prisoners taken by the Germans during this battle? Did they all get away when the Germans became weakened, or did they successfully keep them? On the article here a link is provided to a soldier's account of being captured, which would be very useful to me, but this link is not working.
I'm working on a novel and would like to know if hypothetically my character, a British soldier, could have been on the front line, captured by Germans and remained a prisoner until the end of the war?
Any help would be very gratefully received.
Thanks, Megan
