I don’t know about you but I think Barney is always underestimated, he seems to be looked over and it isn’t until the end of the book that he shows his “true colours,” when he crawls by himself to get the grail and put up the gallant effort to keep it out of evil clutches.

I agree and would like to see more of him in the books as his personality goes perfectly as he is still young and is frightened by some things but is brave at heart.
