Every Adena and Hopewell earthwork in Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky and Michigan was photographed for this publication.
The majority of these works aligned to either the Solstice or Equinox. Other were aligned to stars or to the minumum and maximum moon sets.
So little work had been done in this field by archeologist it is open ground for the astronimist who wishes to decipher the positioning of the earthwork alignments and to the alignments of the earthworks themselves.
