I would like to pay attention of the U.S.National Academy scientists to scientific mistake that has been made more than 100 years ago in the field of Water and Waste Water Treatment Plant Design? There are important construction of any plants is Settling Tanks(or Sedimentation Basins).They are detained about 95-96% of suspended particles. For Settling Tanks sizes calculation there are used traditional sedimentation theory on basis Newton's gravitational law. But on basis this theory it is impossible to calculate Settling Tanks sizes accurately. On this reason sizes are calculated experimentally by using Stokes equation for settled particles in basin. As a result the Settling Tanks sizes are calculated approximately and brutally. In 1991 I developed Alternative Sedimentation Theory on basis Newton's Second Law and Meshersci equation(this theory was published in Russian). As a result all Settling Tanks sizes can be calculated accurately and it is possible to create different models of Settling Tanks. But specialists in the field of Water and Waste water treatment blinded by traditional sedimentation theory and I have just opponents.
