Some antifeminists believe that the laws surrounding such issues as divorce, alimony, and child custody are unfair to men, as courts favor mothers and wives.

It is true that some antifeminists have argued this. One of the most common arguments they have made in relation to this have been focused on the fact studies had begun to show that there were higher populations of women in public universities in the United States than men. However, more recent studies have shown that this trend is beginning to reverse or even-out. Furthermore, arguments focusing on the issue of the higher population of women than men in public universities often ignores many other aspects of gender gaps within higher education.
For instance, such arguments often do not consider psychological/hormonal maturity trends in males as opposed to females and if such trends might answer the question of why more men tend to drop out of school than women, according to many studies that have been done.
Common arguments also do not often consider that most women in public universities hold majors that fit in with their traditional gender roles and there is a significant lack of women in mathematics and science programs nationwide. Therefore, higher amounts of women in universities does not necessarily translate to women dominating the working world, as leadership roles are still generally made up of men. For example, men are generally doctors and women are generally nurses because American society finds this more acceptable - men who become nurses are often criticized and asked why they did not continue their education and become doctors, while women who become nurses are not treated this way. This example shows how many arguments that are made against feminism are often made without a full understanding of what feminism actually is, and that most feminist study and theory seeks out sex and gender equality rather than female dominance over men. In reality, there are many more ways that patriarchy limits a male's "god-given rights" than true feminism does.
