Although Poussin was painter only, did he ever look at engravings made of his works? Such as endpieces for books? I have an engraving made around 1650 with an Italian watermark from that time. It is said to be of a Poussin, yet if he had just come to Rome during that period, wouldn't the print had to been made with his knowledge or acknowledgement?

Thanks, Matt

Dear Miss Faith,

Interesting reply to a request for information leading to engravings by Poussin. Wow.

I didn't know I brought that out in people. Perhaps it's all Poussin's fault. I mean really he was Poussin, and he was the coolest. I mean he was French, and then he moves to Italy. And you know he was Da Man whilst in Italy. He probably was beating the women away with a paint brush.

Yours Love too.

Poussin's friend.
