According to your post on Green Berets (film) the final scene of the movie was filmed near For Benning, GA.
I don't think that is 100% accurate. While opening sequence at the airfield was more than likely done at or near Fort Benning, the wrap up scene on the beach was more than likely filmed in California (ocean, waves, setting sun are tough to find in Georgia).
If you look closely you can make out islands on the horizon. It is my assumption that they are the Channel Islands off of Ventura/Santa Barabara Counties.
Having been stationed at NAS Point Mugu (now Naval Base Ventura County) it looks like the approximate location for the final scene. Is there anyway to figure out exactly where they filmed this scene?
