In the history of the island of Susak, there is a mistake, more like nonsense, concerning the name Sansego and the changes.
On the History it says the name has change three times: Sansegus, Sansego, Susak. That's correct.
Also in the history it says: Between the 13th and 18th centuries,on the Venetian Doge papers it was written,Villa e torre di Sansego. Under the Austrian-Hungarian Empire, there were no changes to the name, neither under the Italian Government. But further on, what makes nonsense is what is written about the changes made:On Susak, for example, the Italian government changed the spellings and pronunciations of several of the island’s surnames. Tarabokija became Tarabocchia; Picinić became Picini. Even Susak's name was changed to Sansego.
That's is not true.
Because Yugoslavia did not yet claim the territory, the name Tarabokija could not exist, and most importantly, the name Susak could not exist.
It was the other way around. Yugoslavia changed most of the names of the places on the territory and not the Italian Government. Sansego under the Yugoslavian Government became Susak.
Please, can someone correct the mistake.
