A filmmaker signed an agreement in 1996 to produce a documentary based on my book but nothing at all was done during this period. Five years later (2001)he signed a new agreement but nothing was done about producing the film. Three more years passed(2004)with another new agreement and has now gone into twelve years in all and still nothing done. It appears this filmmaker has hi-jacked my story for other reasons knowing full well that he will never make the film. I have written to him asking that the signing rights is released back to me but he has not replied. I believe he is using my book to further other projects. I am a pensioner and not in a position financially to hire legal people to go after this man. I was wondering if there was any help or suggestion you could give in order to force him to turn the rights of my book back to me.
