I have 5 little bantams of various sorts but my two most recent additions are two little partridge wyandotte hens. Their plumage is absolutely beautiful..almost lavender in places. Anyway, one is quite broody at the moment and when she first comes out of the coop, instead of instantly running for a dustbath or food, she spends about 5 minutes plucking bits of grass and leaves, small sticks, etc and throws them over her back repeatedly, then she runs around like a mad thing and has a furious dustbath. Anyone else ever seen anything like that? Absolutely comical to watch!!
