Hello - My name is Hal Thinglum and I am from New Lenox, Illinois. I have an interest in minor league baseball and at this time, I am attempting to find more information about the 1960 Northern League. I have the 1961 Sporting News Official Guide which provides the majority of the statistical information. It does not provide (1) number of "hit into double plays" and (2) fielding for less than 10 games at a position.
I am also aware of the Minor League site and they provide a lot of information as to bats/throws; height/weight; born/place of birth/age.
I am interested in finding out batting orders for the eight teams in the league.
My goal is to create player's cards for the basebal tabletop game "APBA" for the Northern League for 1960.
Recently I've tried to access some newspapers for the region but have not had any luck. I need to keep trying and learn how to do this.
Would anyone be able to help me out in this quest for information? I'd greatly appreciate it.
